With more than 40 exhibitors and all four Rugby World Cup quarterfinal games shown live on the big screen, there will be entertainment for everyone at the Goodies 4 Girls and Toyz 4 Boyz Lifestyle Expo in Port Elizabeth this weekend.

From Friday to Sunday, women can enjoy stalls offering beautiful things from specialist cupcakes and lingerie to jewellery and cosmetics in the German Club’s hall.

They can also participate in a number of talks and workshops on health, wellness and beauty.

“There will be loads of lovely things for the ladies to touch, taste, try on and talk about,” said Laurence Finn from Club 100 for Ladies, the organisers of the event.

For the men, an outdoor apparel and equipment display in the giant marquee would show off the latest trends in sporting, fishing and camping gear, he said. Cars and motorbikes will also be featured.

“Whatever the weather, visitors will be covered in the hall or the tent,” said Finn.

A play area with jumping castles will keep the children occupied. There will also be a stand where they can build teddy bears and adopt them in a fun “naming ceremony”.

The rugby matches will be screened in the beer garden at 7am and 9.30am on both Saturday and Sunday. Finn expects a bumper crowd for Sunday’s early game between the Springboks and Australia.

“The beer garden area will open specially at 6.30am for the early games. The rest of the expo starts at 9am.”

Finn said a range of food stalls would be available, with breakfast and other meals catered by the German Club.

Visitors to the expo also stand a chance to win a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes or an Apple iPad 2 by completing a short treasure hunt and visiting various stalls for clues.

Entrance is R20 for adults and R10 for children and gates open at 9am daily. The expo closes at 6pm on Friday and Saturday, and 4pm on Sunday.
