Easter Province Cycling (EPC) will hold a minute’s silence in memory of local cyclist Kim Trzebiatowsky, who was killed in a collision with a motor vehicle on Sunday, at their next event.
“We will have a minute’s silence before the start of the second leg of the Beachfront Lodges Premier Cycling League,” EPC president Louis Rossouw said on Monday. The race starts at 2pm on Saturday, June 6, at Colleen Glen in Port Elizabeth.
Rossouw said Trzebiatowsky’s achievements at all levels showed her dedication and love for the sport.
He said she was full of life and always had a smile on her face, which made her untimely passing even more tragic. “She will be sorely missed by everyone in the cycling fraternity.”
