More news from the Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens is that a top international team is jetting into Port Elizabeth today.

The Welsh URDD under 19 team, the current Dubai Sevens champions, arrives at noon. The Welsh outfit is probably the top under 19 sevens side in the world at the moment.

Several of the players who represented the team in the recent Dubai event were also part of the Wales team who played against the Springboks in the Millennium Stadium last month.

Members of the public who want a taste of the action before this weekend can attend an open practice session of the Emerging Sevens High Performance team and the Emerging Sevens SARU team this afternoon.

The two teams will be put through their paces against the Eastern Province Sevens side at the Adcock Stadium at 16:30.

The Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens runs from Friday to Sunday at the Grey School campus. Tickets are available from Computicket and cost R150 for adults and R75 for children under 12.
