More than 4 500 people have defied rain and cold weather to enjoy a final fling at the FIFA Fan Fest™ at St George’s Park in Port Elizabeth this (Sunday) evening.
Warmed by the entertainers and warming up for the World Cup final between Spain and the Netherlands, the fans were simply not going to miss the last night’s fun and the football action on the big screen.
David Limbert, deputy director of the Fan Fest, said spectators had been coming through the gates since 1.15pm and the pace had picked up during the afternoon.
“The anticipation is tangible. They have been looking forward to the evening’s programme, especially JR and Jesse Clegg.”
Kick-off time for the World Cup final in Johannesburg is 8.30pm.
Entrance to the Fan Fest is free and hot food is available.
