Hot clothes and plenty of prizes are up for grabs when vibrant teenagers strut their stuff in the Mr & Miss Lollipop fashion show at Pier 14 Shopping Centre on Saturday, October 17.
Celebrity judge Carol-Ann Kelleher, of Algoa FM fame, will help to choose a funky boy and gorgeous girl as winners – and they’ll each walk away with R2 500 in gift vouchers from the shopping centre.
“This is a fashion show geared for youngsters aged 13 to 17,” says Sophia Steyn from Pier 14 centre management. “It’s all about bright, bold colours to coincide with the fresh vibe of spring.
“We’re thrilled to have Carol-Ann on board for this classy event. Entrants won’t be judged on looks alone, but also on their outfits and personality.”
For style-conscious teenagers, the show is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to own the catwalk – and the centre’s fashion and beauty tenants have come on board to provide stunning clothes and hairstyles on the big day.
To enter, guys and gals pay R25 and have a professional photograph taken at Studio 4 at the centre. Unsuccessful entrants may keep their photos.
Steyn says entries have already opened and close on October 9. “We’ve handed out entry forms to schools in the area or, alternatively, schools are welcome to contact centre management for information and an entry form.”
All entrants must be at Pier 14 Shopping Centre on October 10, where ten finalists – five girls and five boys – will be selected.
These lads and lasses will receive a choice of outfits from tenants in the centre and must be at the final rehearsal on October 16.
Kelleher and her two co-judges will then choose the centre’s most vibrant, trendy teen winners at the grand finale on October 17, which takes place on the second floor.
“Come on Port Elizabeth teens! You have nothing to lose – get your entry form in now and you could be our Mr or Miss Lollipop,” says Steyn.
