Kobie Potgieter, broker-owner of Remax Independent Properties in Port Elizabeth, emerged as the overall winner of the ninth annual Nedbank Property Professional Awards, held at the Arabella resort in Hermanus on the weekend.
The awards, known as the Oscars of the real estate industry, are open to members of the Property Association who have achieved annual sales of more than R10 million or 40 sales in the 12-month period ending February 2008.
Potgieter, who competed against 11 regional finalists, was also recently named the highest commission earner in Remax’s global stable outside of the United States and Canada for the first quarter of this year.
Liesel Greyvenstein, from Greyvensteins Nortier attorneys in PE, received a Young Lion award, which acknowledges future leaders in the property industry.
As part of her prize, Potgieter will attend the 2008 Realtors Conference & Expo in Orlando, Florida, and receive a media training package from Nedbank.
